This cache leads you to the church Santa Maria de Finestres near a
dirt road from Mieres to Sant Aniol de Finestres in the Garrotxa
and offers you some beautiful views of the Serra de Finestres at an
altitude of 880 meters.
The best approach is from Mieres on the road GI-524 from Banyoles
to Santa Pau.
At N42°07.651 E02°38.351 near the church you will find a junction.
Follow the paved road signposted "Monument a la Dama de la Garrotxa
i talaia iberica 9 km". Even though the road gets unpaved
after a while you don't need a 4x4 vehicle.
To assure that you are on the correct way, you can use the
following points on the road:

N42°06.729 E02°36.718
N42°06.422 E02°37.024
At N42°06.571 E02°35.695 you can leave your car.
Now take a path to the right and walk 100 m uphill until you reach
the church Santa Maria after 15 minutes at N42°06.710 E02°35.583 .
The cache is located above the curch at N42°06.750 E02°35.593. It
is a small black box hidden in a crevice.
From the church there is a route to the Castell de Finestres but
it is completely overgrown and hardly recognisable.
Nevertheless, this detour is worth it for the views.
