Geocache Description:

This is a two part cache. You must go to the posted coordinates to retrieve the coordinates for the actual cache.

First off, the actual cache site is inside an area that requires a special permit if you wish to drive to it. The hike in is approximately 1.25 miles, so I recommend obtaining the permit. The permit is free and all you have to do is go to 26 N MacDonald in Mesa, AZ and ask the clerk for a permit to access the Bulldog Canyon area. It's quick and easy, just fill out the form and out the door you go with permit in hand.

OK, here's the story. I have acquired a source to get ammo cans at no cost to me. I could probably make a small fortune by selling these outright, but I would rather share my good fortune with fellow geocachers. So here is what I have done.

I went out and placed a large ammo can with the traditional trading contents inside, but have also included a normal sized ammo can which also fits inside the large can.
This smaller ammo can is free for the taking and is intended to be used for placing another cache of your choosing. This is strictly first come, first served. I will replace the taken ammo can within a week of any post that states they have found the cache and taken the FREE ammo can. If you find the cache without the FREE ammo can inside, then log it as you would a traditional cache, but feel free to return to the cache later when there is another FREE ammo can available. I do ask that you post a note if you do take an ammo can at a later date, that way I can make sure there is at least one FREE ammo can available per week.

I think it only fair that I make this a "One per customer" cache, but I have many ammo cans, so look for future "FREE" ammo can caches in my area.

If and when you find the cache, please take the time to cover up the cache as well, if not better, than you found it.
