New Life on the Prairie Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

218 Cacher: Well, it's time to think the unthinkable. I don't see any DNF logs on this cache that haven't been closed out, so this one's on its way to the big ammo box in the sky.

Geocache Description:

This cache is the second coming of dingermcduff’s multi-micro puzzle challenge (even used the same logbook with the old name!) which had to get the old ‘out of order’ sign soon after it was listed. Like it’s predecessor, this one will require a combination of skill, patience, and the willingness to do some gratuitous math. A little time wouldn't hurt either--this one isn't a park and grab. I fully expect more than a few DNFs on this one.

Grab a pen and paper and head to the Mesabi Trail. I recommend parking at N 47* 17.112 W 93* 29.749, but hey—you do what you want. By the way, if you attempted my multi-micro puzzle challenge before its demise, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that this location on the Prairie River is just as cool and the hides are at least as tough as before. And yes, I realize that there are a few other great (also very challenging!) caches near here, but this one takes you to completely different scenery.

* WITH FIRE ANT NESTS, POISON IVY, AND A TRAIL BRIDGE WITH STEEP BANKS, THIS CACHE WOULD ONLY BE APPROPRIATE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN IF SOMEONE STAYED ON THE PAVED TRAIL WITH THEM WHILE SOMEONE ELSE SEARCHED FOR THE CACHE. *

Please be respectful. There is no reason to break branches, dig holes, move anything large, or damage anything in the pursuit of this cache. It’s just hard to find.

A few other notes:

- The final cache is regular-sized.
- There are occasional muggles around during the day so use stealth and tell them you’re collecting unusual crickets or counting rocks if they ask. If you go during the early morning or late afternoon you’ll probably have the trail to yourself.
- Please rehide each stage as well as or better than you found it.
- If you aren't paying attention you may get an unpleasant surprise at the end.
- Total round-trip walk for this cache is about 1 mile, most of it easy.
- There is a FTF prize of unknown monetary value!

Good luck and try not to get too frustrated!
