This Geocache was placed by Girl Scout Troop 7159
This cache is placed within the Mines of Spain recreation area with the permission of the Iowa DNR. This park is open year round from 4:00am to 10:30pm.
Park at either the Catfish Trail Parking Lot (first lot when approaching from the Northern side of the park off Julien Dubuque Dr.) or the Catfish Creek Canoe Access Parking Lot and take the Catfish Trail.
This Geocache can be located along the Upper Ridge section of the CatfishTrail, about halfway along the ridge trail near the peak of the climb. When the terrains starts to level out, you are about there. This cache is hidden by a natural root column just on the edge of the southern side of the trail. Look at the base of the tree behind the root column, you will find our troops second Geocache.
