Houston, we have a problem Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

SharkAndMermaid: This is one of the many caches that was destroyed by the fire that swept through Bastrop Sate Park on 9/11/11. I received notification from Texas Parks & Wildlife that no caching in the park will be allowed in the foreseeable future, due to the continuing danger of falling trees and undiscovered "hot spots".

RIP "Houston, we have a problem" -- you were a good cache and one of our first.

Geocache Description:

Located in Bastrop State Park, TX near one of the hiking trails.

This cache is a Tupperware tub filled with a log book/pencils and small toys. It does not require hiking for hours to reach, as several other park caches do. Please do not disturb any natural features or formations in the area.

For more information about the reason for the cache name, decode "Why the name?" (but it definitely contains spoilers).

This cache has been registered at the park office and placed with permission. Our state parks need all the support they can get. Please pay your entrance fee before hunting this cache.
