Along the Heart of Iowa Trail east of Slater. Placed with approval of Story County Conservation.
Apparently the Milwaukee Road had a wreck here, and it was too much effort to extract this railcar end from the ground, so they just left it. One of the reasons why it's fun to ride the trails...you never know what you'll find!
