Take a nice easy walk along a horse trail up the hill to the
west of the parking area at Horsethief Canyon. The trail goes
through areas of Manzanita thickets which present quite a contrast
to the devastation seen on the other side of Lyons Valley Road
where the fire of 2006 scorched nearly everything in its path.

items. I hope the hike will be reward enough for finders of my
little cache.
Parking is available at the staging area for Horsethief Canyon.
