Geocache Description:

Small 16 oz. plastic jar camo-taped, contains log book, pencil, and some trade items. Located at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.

Sir Griflet left his father's home at the age of 9 to become a squire to the neighbouring estate owner, Lord Pluger. A small cottage stood near the Lord's habitation to house the young squires as they learned to serve knights and other gentry. The cache location marks this spot.

It was while serving as a squire that Griflet first met and became an allie of Arthur, the future king. When he grew to manhood he was knighted and became one of the first members of the Round Table where he served as one of the king's chief advisers.

Coordinates will take you to Lancelot's Grandfather, Ferdinand. You need to subtract 531 from the last 3 digits of the birthdate to get ABC. Then subtract 529 from the last 3 digits of the deathdate to get DEF. Final found at N 44° 43.ABC W 088° 48.DEF

There are many rural cemeteries in Wisconsin. Geocaching is a great way to get out and see some of these remote places, discover some interesting and unique markers, and to help ensure that those that have gone before us are not forgotten. With cemetery caches, the cache container is not hidden on or connected in any way to any grave site or marker. Occasionally, some information from a marker may be used to obtain final cache coordinates. Please be respectful of the cemetery and anyone visiting it.
