Welcome to CRH. It's a small hospital that has turned into a regional hospital. I am a nurse here because my family has served this community for many many years. Looks can be deceiving. This is a very busy hospital with lots of love. The outside needs some TLC, but that will come in time. Nurses have a unique job, therefore we are unique people. We deal with the sick, battered, abused, terminally ill world. A world of gross things, bad attitudes, pain, and nightmares. We usually keep a smile on our face, our problems to ourselves, we usually skip most meals because of our work, we stop at nothing to make sure you live another day. We have big hearts and care deeply for each and every person. Our goal is to heal you while also bringing some small joy to your day while you are so ill. A nurse is not a nurse just during work hours, it's something deep in our hearts we were born with. We try to hide our stress and fatigue, along with the hurt that our hearts, mind and body have endured from our work. So if you know a nurse, give that nurse one big hug. A hug can relieve so much stress and bring a renewed energy to anyone, but if your married to a nurse, you should always give them hug, along with a back and foot rub. They more than deserve it. If I happened across you as my patient you will know it's me because of my peppy energy, smile, and big heart. Hopefully all your nurses are this way. If not they need a hug!
