Geocache Description:

Welcome to Wauwatosa! In the downtown area you’ll find lots of locations that may tickle your fancy.

Meet the neighborhood!

Where you’re standing, you’ll see the Menomonee River running through the village to the NORTH. Up the hill to the NORTH and EAST, is downtown Wauwatosa. To the SOUTH, you’ll find the Little Red Store – a former home, grocery store, post office, railroad depot and library – now a visitor center! Stop in to learn more about the area. To the WEST, follow the Oak Leaf Trail through Hoyt Park and Hansen Park.

TO FIND YOUR CACHE, decode the words below for a hint! NOTE: You do not need to get close to the water to find the container!

PASSPORT CHALLENGE: If you are completing our passport (download at www.visitmilwaukee.org/geocache), check under the lid of the container for your passport word.

Want to explore more? Head up the hill and grab a snack at one of the great restaurants in the village or walk to Hart Park and (if it’s warm out) cool off in  the splash pad!
