Geocache Description:

Paddle with your caching pals to the top of one of BC's most beautiful fjords -- in the dark!

This is an overnight kayaking event cache that will take place on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of September, 2004. We will be departing from Deep Cove at 7:00PM sharp on Friday -- be sure to arrive early to pack your gear. To log this cache, you must make the trip to the top of Indian Arm to Granite Falls. This event is open to all cachers who wish to attend.

The cache coordinates will take you to the put in location in front of the Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak rental shop.

We'll be leaving Deep Cove shortly before sunset and paddling approximately 20 km to Granite Falls. The full moon is only a couple of days away so if the night is clear, we should have good visibility. We'll make two stops along the way to the top of the arm -- one at Thwaites Landing and another rest stop at Bergs Landing.

On Saturday, there are a number of caches at the top portion of the arm to find. We'll stop at the lower end caches on our return trip on Sunday.

Here's a list of the caches that we'll visit on this trip (caches with NEW beside them are new since last years event):

Diamonds in the Rough NEW!

Long John's Hideaway

Benn Gunn's Cache NEW!

Treasure Island

Oooh, I Can Thwayte

Those Noisy Jellyfish NEW!

The Slippery Noodle NEW!

The Forearm NEW

Kayakers Paradise

Granite Haze NEW!

The Cliffs at Granite Falls NEW!

Please note that you are responsible for all of your own equipment including, tent, sleeping bag, kayak, and all other related gear.

For additional information about this event, including a map, and information about kayak rentals, meals, etc., please see the forum topic titled "Indian Arm Cache Event 2004" at the Cachers Sandbox or contact TeamNocturn through this website.

If you are not keen on joining us for the night paddle on Friday evening, you are welcome to paddle up (or come up in a power boat) on Saturday -- let us know and we'll save a camping spot for you.

We hope that you'll join us for what will no doubt be a very exciting cache event!
