In Marine navigation there is a three R rule; Red Right Returning. When traveling from a larger body of water to a smaller one, red buoys and lights should be kept on the starboard (right) side of the vessel, while green ones should be kept on the port (left) side. If you sit down right next to this cache – which will keep you mainly out of the view of muggles on the sidewalks, you will be able to enjoy the port side of returning boats and the starboard side of boats on their way out to sea.
Tip: To help remeber that PORT = LEFT, remember that they both have 4 letters...
