Two to View Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Malin Mob: I feel another cache would go astray also so archiving.

I'm gutted to lose the log and camera, I was looking forward to seeing some mug shots!

Geocache Description:

Spectacular view from a commanding position looking over a National Nature Reserve with views to the Argyll islands.

Dunardry in Gaelic means Fort of the High King and the walk through the forest offers superb views over the Moine Mhor(the big moss)which is a National Nature Reserve. The River Add winds through the landscape to its estuary where if you are lucky the local ospreys can be seen fishing. On a clear day you can see the Paps of Jura, Scarba and Mull. Looking away from the Moine Mhor you can see Diall Loch and Loch an Add which are part of a large series of man made lochs created to feed the high point of the Crinan Canal which you can see at your feet. Park at N56 03.666 W005 29.810 to enjoy a circular walk of 2.5 miles (allow an hour and a half). The trail is good but the final push can be muddy. Alternatively park at N56 03.351 W005 30.235 for a shorter approach. The road to this car park is passable in a normal car with care. Please respect all Forestry Commission notices. Its an ideal cache for visitors with dogs. When friends visit us this is the place we take them to so they can lap in the views and centre themselves in the beautiful landscape of Mid Argyll. Please use the camera inside for a pic of you with the view!
