Circle B CITO Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Saved by God's grace: It’s been a good run, but I’m afraid this cache’s time has come. The original CO has moved out of the area, and so have I, so maintenance is impossible. It’s a sad day because I have fond memories of finding this cache before I adopted it, but all good things must come to an end. I’ll open the location up for a new cache...

Geocache Description:

Adoption note: This cache was originally placed by FSUDad, one of the best cache hiders Central Florida has ever seen. I had the privilege of finding this one years ago, and since he's moving out of the area, I've adopted this listing to keep it alive. The below description is how he originally wrote it. Please note as well, that going off-trail to find geocaches *IS* allowed at Circle B, even with the "stay on trail" warning signs. The caches are placed with the permission of the land managers, and it's completely ok to find them. That said, please be respectful of wildlife and vegetation, and "tread lightly" as you search for this cache. Cache on!

Dogs are not allowed on this property.

This cache has been placed to commemorate the first CITO event held in Lakeland. Thanks to all of the cachers who attended the event and helped with the clean-up, we had a great turn-out.

Cache is located at the Circle B Bar Reserve. The Reserve is open daily, year-round, from 6:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Standard Time and until 8:30 P.M. during Daylight Savings Time. Dogs are not permitted in the Reserve due to their status as an alligator's favorite snack food. Since a large portion of the Reserve is restored wetland, there's a good chance it will be wet during the rainy season. Don’t forget the insect repellent and water. Be careful and enjoy the area. Be advised that there are always risks associated with visiting nature preserves.

Please sign in at the information board in the parking lot near the trailhead, and note that you're there to geocache. Polk County's Environmental Lands Program is receptive to caching. Signing in shows that you appreciate this. Please be respectful of this property, its vegetation & wildlife. Make sure you grab a map of the Reserve at the trailhead.

Please replace the cache as found.
