This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Discover the beauty of Trenton!

This cache was placed along a marked kayaking/canoeing trail in Crosswicks and Watson Creeks. Put in at the public launch near the Bordentown Yacht club at the end of W Park St in Bordentown, N40º 08.880, W074º 43.100. This launch is at the mouth of Crosswicks creek and is a wonderful spot to visit, boats or not! You do not need a permit to launch your kayak or canoe here. (permits are required to launch boats from trailers). This cache is located about 1.4 miles from the launch as the crow flies. Visit "Paddle To Watson Creek" (visit link) and "Crosswicks Creek Log Only Paddle-To Cache" (visit link) while you are out there!

The cache is placed on Duck Island along Crosswicks Creek. There is no land access. You must be in a boat to find it and you can log it without getting out of your boat or damaging the delicate surroundings in any way. See if you can spot the duck blind in the area.

This cache is not accessible at peak low tide so plan your trip carefully. Put in 1 to 3 hours before high tide if you intend to go after all the caches on Crosswicks and Watson Creeks. This will allow you to ride with the current both ways. If you only intend to go after this cache, put in 45 minutes before high tide. Check the tide table here. (visit link)

This is a micro with a log only so you will need to bring a pen. Please reseal the container carefully to help keep things dry and rehide as found. Never boat alone or without a PFD. Know your boat and your limitations and always respect the water and weather.
