Geocache Description:

Wow! A November prospect of Kolsås, enjoyed from the Heap heap.

ou may or may not know Mr. Haug, but if you came across a kjentmannspost in the Oslomarka some time in the last decade and a half, you have seen some of his business.
Mr. Haug is the brain behind hundreds of posts that make up Kjentmannsmerket, a local program akin to orienteering that attempts to draw Oslomarka hikers off their beaten tracks. The geocaching community in Oslo has benefited greatly from his efforts, as many posts old and new have also become geocache sites.

Mr. Haug is not a geocacher, at the very least he has not admitted to being one, but reportedly he owns a GPSr and knows how to use it.
Since 1990, Mr. Haug and his wife Mrs. Fjeldstad Haug, have been key to designing no less than nine Kjentmannsmerket handbooks with a total of 450 posts (although a handful have been repeated after a few years). The books have been published by Oslo's outdoors organisations, such as Skiforeningen and DNT Oslo.
The good Haugs do not know this, but they now have a geocache dedicated to them close to the kjentmannspost at Haugskollen, a faboulous viewpoint in Bærumsmarka. It seemed an obvious place to place a hurrah cache in their honor. If you start your hike from the tennis hall at Belset, chances are you'll even have passed their home on the way.

Haug saving it for a rainy day.
