This is our 1st attempt at hiding a cache and we hope you enjoy it... This one will be fun for the kids as we have filled it with lots of goodies along with several Travel Bugs! We hope to use this as a Travel Bug "Motel" where you can 'drop off and pick up'!
We wanted to bring geocachers to our small community and decided what better way than by hiding a cache in town...
Iron Ore was produced many years ago and the area next to where the cache is hidden used to be a railroad turntable where engines were turned around. The restaurant next door has several old photos of years gone by...
Within the past few years wind turbines have dotted our horizons as alternative energy sources...
Enjoy yourself in our little community and hope you come back to visit soon!! We plan to hide more in the future!!
This cache is not winter friendly when there is a lot of snow on the ground. Please leave GZ as found for next cacher...
