Geocache Description:

Please join us for the 2015 GEOCKY International Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) clean-up! The 13th Annual Cache In Trash Out Weekend is scheduled for April 25 and 26, 2015 so we thought this would be a great time to meet, celebrate the 13th anniversary of this great idea and clean up the park a bit. By participating in this event you should be able to earn a souvenir.

CITO is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!

Geocachers around the world celebrate International Cache In Trash Out weekend annually by hosting and participating in Cache In Trash Out Events in their local area. Events might be focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, revegetation efforts or building trails. Together, we make an enormous positive impact. Did we mention that we also have a bit of fun while we're at it?

We will meet at the above coordinates in Scott County Park at 9:00 a.m. and pass out these cool CITO clean-up bags provided by Groundspeak! We will also have a few giveaways. Be sure to bring your own gloves and dress accordingly for the weather. Bottled water will be provided. If you cannot be there at the start of the event, that's OK. Feel free to join us and pitch in as soon as you can. We won't be hard to spot! We'll end the event at 10:00 a.m. If you haven't found the caches in the park or surrounding area, feel free to stay and seek them out.

GEOCKY (pronounced "Jockey") stands for Geocachers of Central Kentucky. The group was formed to promote safe and responsible Geocaching in Kentucky.
