Geocache Description:

This GC was placed in March 2001, and is now listed as one of the oldest permanently active geocaches in the world. The coordinates were recorded on an Etrex Yellow, one of the earliest consumer-grade devices commercially available at the time. Coordinates have since been re-recorded with more modern GPS devices.

This is a great little hike with a beautiful panoramic view of beaches, bays, and downtown, and an excellent place to walk your dog.

There are two recommended ways to get to the cache - suit yourself!
For the harder way, park here:
N32° 48.659
W 117° 14.393

Walk past the playground, down a steep hill to a dry creek, and up on the other side. The Geocache is some 0.4 miles from the playground in on mixed quality trails.

For the easier way, park on Parkview Drive, on the north side of Kate Sessions Park where it overlooks the park, and enter through the fence opening.
