Easy side of the road cache with plenty of parking.
Came out to the area to check on our apparently abducted ET Alien
Cache and found this interesting area at the junction of the "ET
Highway" (375)and Highway 6. We saw lots of quail in the area and
several bighorn sheep were nearby drinking out of the warm spring
fed stream. Nice area to stretch your legs & hopefully take
pictures of the bighorn sheep. Cache filled with all new items.

January 17 by theparksplace (1258 found) I found this one today while trying to get to GCF9. I never made it there because the rental I had wasn't meant to get there. I'm dropping off two GC's here that I wanted to make sure got to the XKD-380 cache. If someone would pick them up for me and make sure that the "in honor of PFC Veashna Muy" GC gets there, I would really appreaciate it. Really wished I was here when the roads weren't so bad so I could have gotten the other caches I was after.

December 9, 2009 by JohnMac56 (2052 found) Found this one on my birthday on my way out to the ET highway to hunt down aliens and caches (found some caches, but no aliens) on my annual birthday trip. With the temperature approaching zero degrees the warm water looked very inviting. However if I would have ventured into it I know I wouldn't have wanted to face the cold getting back out again....TFTC!!!

November 22, 2009 by Me & Bucky (8275 found)
Bucky & I found this one on the 4th day of our trip back down to Las Vegas from Northeastern Oregon. Today we went from Tonopah to Caliente, spending the first half of the day finding caches around Tonopah in the excellent Elements series. Around noon we high-tailed it out of town to the east on US 6 up to Lund, then turned south along NV 318 to the Bristol Road at the 250K Cache, then east to US 93, and south to Caliente for the night. With the finding of the Hot Stuff cache in Bristol, we have now found at least one cache in all of the Nevada Delorme Map pages! Temps for the day were perfect, starting out right at freezing in Tonopah in the early morning, heading up to the mid-50s while cruising the roads in the central part of the state, gradually coming back down to freezing as we got into Caliente well after dark. Is there anything more fun than getting out in the wide-open spaces of the basin and range country and drinking in the wonderful views that this state has to offer? No Bighorn Sheep today, but the water was running warm and it would have been a perfect day to take a dip! Thanks for the cache!! [This entry was edited by Me & Bucky on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:01:26 PM.]
