Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

This cache may be accessed via the nature trail below the McKinley Chalet Resort or by following the river bed from the Alaska Raft Adventures commissary area (see the below waypoint). This cache should be accessible during most of the year except during periods of high water flows.

Take a ramble along the Nenana River and enjoy the rushing water, sand bars, and rounded cobbles. Wish the rafters good luck as they sweep by on their way to the first rapids of their float through the Nenana River Canyon. Study the terrain and imagine what this area looks like when the river is in flood stage.

Please rehide the cache the way you found it to keep it out of sight of human muggles (there are recent fire rings in the area) and animal muggles who might try to carry it off. Be aware that there is shallow quicksand in the area that will eat a shoe or boot that can be dodged by avoiding the wettest low lying sandy areas.

This decon container is starting out with a Feep TB, High Country Colorado TB, the Ladybug Kids' New York Traveling Geocoin #2, and a few Denali-related souvenirs.

This cache is located east of the eastern boundary (the Nenana River at this point) of the National Park...it is not in the Park.
