Bushwacking with the Beave Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

2qwerqE: Cache owner writes: This cache needed a new placement, and the new coords are too far different from the old ones, so I'm placing a new cache listing. Look for 'Bushwacking with the Beave's Brothers' in a day or two.

Geocache Description:

If there is a trail in these woods, I didn't find it. Depending on where you enter the woods, your trek can be quick and relatively easy, or wet and thorny and brambly.

Bring the kids and your softball gear, as this woods is next to a great new Indy Parks softball complex.

Note: If you try to do this one in conjunction with Northwestway Park Cache, be aware that there is no bridge across that creek. You'll want to use the park's 59th St entrance for this one.

There is lots of beaver sign along the creek, so take a minute to walk along the banks and you will see several dams under construction, and chomped tree trunks.

The cache is a large Coleman thermos. Watch out for incoming foul balls!

7/11/04 Note: Apparently, a beaver or other creature has decided that the root bole hole where the cache was hidden would make a nice place to live. The cache has been found out of the hole twice now, so it's pretty clear that something lives there. So, the cache has been moved above ground. Please recover it well. Ball players do come into the woods looking for their foul balls.

*Edited to add the park entrance info. I can take a hint. :-)
