From upper Ojai take Sisar Canyon Road by foot or mountain bike beyond the gate. Six miles and 3000 feet later turn right on the Nordoff Ridge Road. Proceed 3 miles to the end of the road at the start of the wilderness area. At this point you can continue up the road and to the right around behind Topa Topa Bluff to the top of the ridge. Conversely 1/10 mile before the end of the road you can climb steeply up the cat track, "Johnny's elevator", for the final 1000 feet up Topa Topa Bluff. On top of the bluff enjoy one of the most spectacular views anywhere. This is an 18-mile round trip, which starts at 2000 feet and ends at 6000 feet. It is hot in the summer and has snow in the winter with no water year around, so bring what you need.
The original cache contains a mosquito head net, magnesium/flint fire starter, keychain, unused prosthetic hip socket (which you may need at this point), very small cast iron frying pan, 12 oz water, camera, colored chalk, carabiner, dog chew, candle, rock chock and some "mountain money"; TP.
