How Geocaching Works
A nice walk across the beautiful Arboretum grounds, open from sun up to sun down. Find where "Bubba" landed!
"Bubba" was flying around Iowa enjoying the countryside when his plane went down. He bailed out of the plane and landed safely in a secluded spot with his treasures. "Bubba" gets lonely and invites you to come and visit him at his new residence. We invite you to take your picture with "Bubba", but please put him back where you found him so that he can guard the cache.
Located at the Iowa Arboretum, just off Peach Ave., 3.5 miles SW of Luther, Iowa.
This cache is a small plastic container wrapped in camo tape and attached to a string and "Bubba". Only room for a log and pencil.
A visit to the Iowa Arboretum's 378-acre facility located in scenic, rural Boone County is an experience you won't want to miss. This site offers 40 acres developed as a 'Library of Living Plants' showcasing hundreds of species of trees, shrubs and flowers in a tranquil scenic setting. The Iowa Arboretum displays the largest and most diverse display of plants that can be successfully grown in Iowa.
