Geocache Description:

An uphill walk of about one mile from castle to cache on a quiet lane, over stiles to a muddy lane and grassland.

The Three Castles Walk is an 18 mile circular walk linking the Norman Castles of Skenfrith, Grosmont and Whitecastle. This Cache is one of three each with its start point at each of the castles and located along the Three Castles Walk footpath. The walk can be completed in one day and if undertaken whilst Geocaching then it is advisable to do the walk in an anti-clockwise direction to avoid backtracking from virtual locations. The footpath is well signposted in either direction. A leaflet may be obtained from local tourist information centres and the route is marked on the Ordinance Survey maps Explorer 189, Outdoor Leisure 13 and Explorer OL14.

Parking is available at these co-ordinates N 51 52.690 W002 47.441

The virtual location is at the co-ordinates above where you must answer the following question.

Hubert de Burgh rebuilt Skenfrith in stone between ABCD and EFGH

The main cache is located at N51 5G.B(D+E)A W002 47.DD(F+H)
