Pasadena geocachers are a well-rounded bunch, not squares. Pie are square. No, pies are round! Wait a minute, I’m confused…
Either way, it's Pi Day, and you’d have to be irrational not to observe it. So let’s seize the once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate on, of course, 3/14/15 at 9:26 a.m. at this venerable Pasadena institution of higher eating.
The event will start at 9:10 a.m. and end at 9:45. Bring a pie tin and set your phone’s loud alarm to go off at exactly 9:26 a.m. (Geocachers with OCD will be allowed to set their alarms for 9:26:54!)
When the alarms go off we’ll all wave our Pi tins high and proud for the group photo. Then we’ll sign the log and go inside for a piece of pi(e). Kelsoboom will offer a free piece of pie to anyone who can recite the first 50 digits of Pi from memory!
And we encourage you to wear your best Caltech geek-chic nerd clothing, especially a Pi themed T-shirt.
