Geocache Description:

Another puzzle. The cache is not at the coordinates listed, but within 2 miles.

It was Ava's birthday in 3 weeks and so Linus bought two airline tickets to Paris for her present. He found what he thought was a novel way to give them to her. He would hide a one franc coin and a Paris metro ticket in a cache and let her find the cache. She would guess the rest. So, he told her that he had hidden a cache for her; that it had hints in it about her special birthday surprise and that they would go out and she would hunt for it today.

But first, Linus wanted to go to the park to check out some new playground equipment. They, like many cachers, were both big fans of playground equipment. They tried the monkey bars, the merry go round and then the swings. Linus loved the thrill of swinging really high. He kept swinging higher and higher.

Ava was very curious and eager to go find the cache, but Linus was mesmerized by the swing and didn't want to leave. He finally swung so high that the chains were doubling back upon themselves.

Then, all of a sudden, he simply peeled out of the seat, flew through the air and landed on his head! Ava ran to him, peered into his face and said, "Linus, speak to me." He groaned and then said, "The cache is at LiNAlBeOBe MgHBFCY." She said, "Linus, I can't understand what you're saying", and started crying. People started gathering around to see if they could help. Then he repeated the same strange words, LiNAlBeOBe MgHBFCY. Was it another language? Ava knew that LiNAlBeOBe was the latitude and MgHBFCY was the longitude, but how was she supposed to interpret those words? Can you help her out and find her special birthday surprise?

Contents of the cache are a Paris metro ticket and a French one franc coin. The cache is in a magnetized Altoids box. Bring your own pen.

10/18/03 The difficulty and terrain ratings were changed to 3 and 1 as recommended by Philippegps. 1/4/04 I believe the coords to be accurate because I have gotten the same reading 3 different days at this spot. However, some cachers found it hard to get an accurate reading here. Also, I have found that not all mapping programs give the same results.
