This is another cache placed in the Pedlar Wildlife Management
Area. However, this one is located in the southern parcel situated
along County Route 41, also known as Little Indian Creek Road.
The following is a brief description from my
Pedlar WMA cache page.
"The Pedlar Wildlife Management Area lies in northcentral
Monongalia County and consists of two separate parcels, which total
765 acres. Access to the Pedlar WMA is by way of State Route 7 and
County Route 41, approximately 7 miles west of Morgantown , WV .
The WMA, which is primarily forested, will provide hunting
opportunities for deer, wild turkey, squirrel, waterfowl and other
game species. The primary attraction on the WMA will be the two
impoundments, totaling approximately 23 acres, which will be
stocked to provide a warm water fishery upon completion of
renovations to the dams."
The work on the dam is complete and they've got a gravel roadway
pretty much done, replete with a nice crushed stone path around the
lake. It's going to look pretty good when finished. However, one
word to keep in mind in wet weather once past the graveled areas.
MUD.
Please remember to use proper precautions during hunting
season.
The cache is a 30 caliber ammo box.
