Jackpine Savage Mud Run Series:Hay-bale climb Traditional Geocache

This series is Located in Spooner Wi, home of the annual Jack Pine Savage Days (the first weekend in August)This event is becoming more popular every year, with crafts, food, live music and most of all " The Savage Dash, Mud Run" this year over 500 people competed in this 5K run!  This series of caches will bring you along the course over many different types of terrain.

hese are stand alone caches, you can find them in any order. I suggest parking at one end or the other and enjoy the hike. It is about one mile in length. Be aware that these caches should not be hunted during the actual race. You will not be allowed on the course. Also, there is an ATV trail along the west side of this course. You should be careful of traffic on the ATV trail. Cache contains log book and pencil.

This cache is near the trail to the famous hay bale climb(during the race only)  The are set up along the trail , there are several in a row and many poeple end up walking around them ! Lots of fun to see...
