Josephine Randall founded the Randall Junior Museum to be, in
her words, "a place that would foster a love of science,
natural history, and the arts." It's a great destination for
families with kids, close to the center of San Francisco, yet
hidden away from the casual visitor.
View from the Randall Junior Museum
(Open Tues-Sat 10am-5pm)
We went there on the date this cache was hidden and found two
very neat spots that we want to share with you. They are accessible
at any time. If you find yourself blocked from the first stage, go
around the museum on the side closest to the hill.
Stage 1: N 37 45.867 W122 26.258
You should be at a large plaque that shows San Francisco as it
might have appeared in the past.
- "Portola's crew first glimpsed San Francisco Bay in
176A"
- "recreates views as they might have looked DB0 years
ago.
- C. "Paintbrush and pearly everlasting"
- E. "Poppies, shooting stars and goldfields"
Stage 2: The cache is located at N 37 45.ABC W 122 26.DED
It is within walking distance of Stage 1. If your coordinates tell
you otherwise, check them again.
Note: the cache is not in any poison oak, do not
look in any as you would be wasting your time.
Have fun - we did!
