NascarCoke: I was informed that the cache container is missing and its contents were scattered on the ground. Since the kids are back in school now and Fall practically upon us with old man winter not too far behind, I have decided to archive this cache. Look for a replacement cache to be placed in the area next spring. Thank you to all of you who seeked and found my cache.

Geocache Description:

THIS ONE FOR THE KIDS!!!

I decided to put out an easy cache to introduce the little ones to GeoCaching.

The cache is a clear container with toy dinosuars in it. There is no log to sign, nor is it necessary to leave anything. Just have FUN with your children finding this one! Adult Geocacher's are welcome to search for this cache but...PLEASE LEAVE THE ITEMS IN THE CACHE FOR THE KIDS!

This hunt is within the Tri-County Forest Preserve located in Bartlett. You'll see waterfowl flying overhead and you may just spot some deer in your travels. The cache is located approximately 15 yards off of a trail. PLEASE wear long pants as you may encounter sharp grass and ticks!

As this is a public park, please beware of any muggles you may encounter along the way so as not to give away the cache's location.

This is my second cache approved for placement by the DuPage County Forest Preserve. Their process is fairly simple for placing a cache. I downloaded an application from the Internet, filled it out and dropped it off at the Forest Preserve I wanted to place my cache in. I was contacted by a Park Ranger who scheduled a day and time to meet me at the cache site. She approved my cache container (it must be clear), checked my coordinates, put a permit sticker on the cache and it is ready to be found! All in all it was VERY easy to get approval. DCFP is VERY interested in working with other geocachers so don't hesitate to contact them.
