Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to the men and women who labored to make Iowa beautiful.

This section of the High Trestle Trail is gorgeous. Standing this area you can enjoy 100 years of Iowa history, from unspoiled woods, to farmland, from a bygone railway (including what looks like original telegraph poles) to a modern day nature trail with benches and GPS service. We’ve come a long way.

Much of nearby bridge and infrastructure was originally dug and set in place by hard working Iowans with picks, shovels, and other hand tools. Something you may wish keep this in mind while searching for this cache . . .
