L’Asilo Umberto I fu costruito nel 1880 dalla Fondazione Asili Suburbani per accogliere gratuitamente i fanciulli poveri. Nello stesso anno si edificò la prima scuola della borgata, l’Elementare rurale del Regio parco (1880-82), dove si tennero le lezioni fino ad allora svolte in case private.
The Umberto I Nursery School was built in 1880 by the Federazione Asili Suburbani, as a free school for poor children. I the same year the district’s first school was built: the regio Parco Rural Elementary (1880-82) which provided the lesson up to then taught at home.
