Most everyone has heard the story of Yogi the Bear and his never ending hunt for the elusive picnic basket. Yogi spends most of his days searching Jellystone Park with his best buddy and side kick Bo Bo only to have his latest and greatest plans foiled by the ranger. This time another character by the name of Turtle has given Bo Bo a special picnic basket to hide in the woods so that the ranger will not find it. Your job is to go out there and find this basket for Yogi. As Bo Bo set out to place the basket he dropped several items out of the basket so that there would be a trail to where he had placed the basket. Once you get to the basket, leave the items in the basket for Yogi, You are welcome to log in and trade items in the Rubbermaid water cooler that is in the basket.
There are several trails in the area, but most of them do not go where you need to go. Some of the trails will help, but you will have to go it alone on numerous occasions. Keep in mind that sometimes the closest way between two points may not be a straight line.
This area in the knobs of central Kentucky is owned by Hardin County. It is being developed into a mountain bike and hiking area. Where you first enter the forest you will see a sign that reads “No Trespassing: ATV’s, Motorcycles, Hunting” This is for the items listed, it is not intended for hikers or mountain bikes.
