Built in 1881, Lucy is six stories tall and has weathered many adversities over the years, most recently damage to her howdah. Lucy received National Historic Site status in 1976. Tours of Lucy are available every 1/2 hour for a modest fee. (Lucy is closed to tours from January - March.)
