"Drive in Cache" especially for motorcyclists (and others...)

Der Stoos verbindet das Appenzellerland (Gais) mit dem Ostschweizer Rheintal (Altstätten). In geschichtlicher Zeit hat Passübergang in den Appenzellerkriegen traurige Berühmtheit erlangt. Eine Gedenkstätte befindet sich auf der Passhöhe. Immer wieder hast du eine weite Aussicht in die Rheinebene. Die grosszügig gebaute Strasse verlockt die Motorradfahrer. Auch die Freunde und Helfer wissen dies, und stehen oft mit Rader/Laserkanone bereit...

Stoos links famous Appenzell with Rhine Valley in eastern Switzerland (Altstätten). Historicly the area was quit famous to be a battle field of the wars of Appenzell against Austria. There's a memorial at the top of the pass. It's a good wide road which offers you many great views over the Rhine valley but be carefull! – The police likes to speed control with RADAR and Laserguns.
