Lake Chicot State park, located on the northern end of Arkansas' largest natural lake (an oxbox of the Mississippi River), was designated a state park in 1957 following a land donation from Chicot County citizens. The park consists of 132 acres of land featuring camping, hiking, and fishing.
The geocache is located on a hiking trail near the visitors center. Parking is available in front of the center and it's a short walk to the trail. The cache is roughly .35 miles from the trailhead. Please stay on the trail until you get within 150 feet of the cache.
The container is a cammoflauged .30 caliber ammo can. It has the geocaching.com log painted on it and an Arkansas State Parks sticker. Please rehid the cache as well, or better, than you found it.
