Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the Presque Isle Loop at the Nordic Heritage Center.

The cache is a nalgene bottle placed along side of the trail at the center. Once you have found the cache please sign the log and return it for others.

Interesting side bar here. When I was cutting the trail I generally just cut them one after and other all in the same direction. But one fell to the side and got caught in a large ash tree. When I looked up there were two small bear cubs in the tree. When I stopped the saw I could here the mother in the bushes. So I restarted the saw, just in case and slowly moved backward as the mother came closer. Finally she stood up against the tree and made some noise, down came the cubs. They almost ran down the tree, crashing into the ground. Then in a flash they were all gone. When ever I ski by this location I always think of that day. Good thing the mother was a young one or the story may not have been a good one.
