Geocache Description:

Fearless fellows will enter the dark and humid gorge to seek this ancient treasure hidden by dwarfs in immemorial times long, long ago. Probably some of them will not find their way back...

Residents occasionally report about strange noises and bloodcurdling screams coming from the direction of the cache site. But the normally open minded people do not like to talk about these things. Once one of the old people, the farmer Karl-Heinz O., broke his silence: he adumbrated an old story about a cave troll living in the area, but did not knew further details. Thus be prepared and watch out, if you nevertheless decide to seek the treasure. Take a torch with you, as trolls can be driven back with fire. Or take at least a pocket light, they fear the light. Maybe you can keep the troll at distance...

Parking is possible at N 51°18,159 E 007°14,433. Start at the co-ordinates listed above, which are NOT the cache co-ordinates, enter the gorge and seek the cache within the gorge. YOU ENTER THE GORGE AT OWN RISK. Inside of the gorge you will not receive any GPS signal. There is an alternative entry at the northern portal (see waypoints). Due to the terrain the GPS signal can be imprecise. However, don`t worry – you will find your way anyway. As we recommended before, it is obligatory to carry a good light with you. Think about waterproof shoes, as it is very humid around the cache site, at least periodically.

Initially the cache contained the logbook and a pen, a PS2/USB adapter, two other adapters and a Havana Club rattle. MaGro (thank you) added a LETTERBOX CHOP in the end of november 2007, please do not remove.
