Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the paved portion of the Jasper Discovery Trail. Park the car and walk the trail for this series.
Please remove the log without detaching the cache container from its location.

Mount Tekarra, visible from the cache site (look towards the wind sock) is situated between the Athabasca and Maligne River Valleys. It was officially named in 1859 after a First Nations guide. The guide accompanied explorer James Hector and his expedition in exploring the Athabasca river. Mount Tekarra stands at 2694 m (8839 ft) high.
