Geocache Description:

If you have been geocaching for awhile, you know there are lots of computer programs and electronic gadgets that are being used by the pros in this sport. Here's a chance to make some sense of them, and get recommendations on what to consider. And if you are already using them, this is a chance to see what others are doing, and pick up any tips they have to offer.

What: Demonstration of how everything ties together.

When: Saturday, 5 April 2008, 9:30-12:30

Where: Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve
4815 N Lynndale Dr.
Appleton, WI 54913
(920) 731-6041

There are lots of different options to choose from. This class will cover one pathway. It's based on what I have been using, and am familiar with. Other choices will be discussed.

The programs used are GC.COM (Preminum membership), GSAK, Cachemate, Miscrosoft Streets & Trips, and Express Logger.

The gadgets cover car mounted navigational GPSs, Palm units (as opposed to Palm Pilots, which are Windows based), and laptop computers.

Bring all your toys with you. And questions.

Thanks to the Bubolz staff for assisting in the set-up for this class. Donations will be appreciated.
