Denne serie er lavet i anledning af at det i 2011 er 100 år siden at privatbanen mellem Ringkøbing og Ørnhøj – senere videreført til Holstebro – blev indviet, og 50 år siden den atter blev nedlagt.
Turen går langs den nedlagte jernbane, så vidt det nu kan lade sig gøre i dag. Undervejs skal vi besøge alle stationer på ruten.
Alle stationer langs den gamle jernbane, på nær den i Ringkøbing, er bygget af arkitekten Ulrik Plesner. Han var født i Vedersø i 1861 og døde i 1933 i Skagen. Han har tegnet mange kendte og smukke bygningsværker, især i København, i Skagen og på Ringkøbing-kanten, og får man blik for hans arkitektur, kender man den igen når man ser den. Eksempler på hans bygninger i Ringkøbing er Dommerkontoret og det tidligere plejehjem Aldershvile, begge på Kongevejen.
Første etape går fra Ringkøbing over No til Lervang ved Ølstrup. For at finde skatten i Lervang skal du samle oplysninger i skattene i Ringkøbing og No. Etapen er ca. 17 km lang, asfalteret det meste af vejen og velegnet til en cykeltur. Undervejs kan du finde andre gode skatte.

Station 2: No
Der er ikke meget tilbage af banen mellem Ringkøbing og No. Men Fra Ringkøbing Station kan du cykle til No via Rindumvej, Kærbyvej og Borkvej, en fin cykelrute uden megen trafik. Waypoints C1 til C6 viser vej.
Ved WP3 krydser du banens gamle forløb, syd for Kærbyvej synligt som et læbælte, nord for vejen som en grusvej, der dog er privat og ender blindt. Trinbrættet i Kærby har sikkert ligget ikke langt herfra.
Fra WP4 kan du mod syd se rester af banedæmningen. På denne strækning har trinbrættet ved Nobjerg ligget.
Ved WP5 står du ved den gamle stationsbygning i No. Selv om huset er langt mindre stateligt end det du betragtede i Ringkøbing, genkender du sikkert Ulrik Plesners stil med de røde sten, de afvalmede gavle og de hvidpudsede kanter. Huset er privat bolig – vær diskret og undlad at genere beboerne.

This series has been created in 2011 on the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of the inauguration of the private railway between Ringkøbing and Ørnhøj - later continued to Holstebro. At the same time, it is the 50-year anniversary of the closing down of the railway.
The trip goes along the old railway, as far as this is today possible. Along the way, we will visit all the stations on the route.
All station buildings along the old railway, except the one in Ringkøbing, were built by the architect Ulrik Plesner. He was born in Vedersø in 1861 and died in 1933 in Skagen. He has created many famous and beautiful buildings, especially in Copenhagen, in Skagen and around Ringkøbing, and once you get an eye for his architecture, you will know it again when you see it. Examples of his buildings in Ringkøbing are Dommerkontoret (the judge’s office) and the former old people’s home Aldershvile, both in Kongevejen.
The first stage of the trip goes from Ringkøbing via No to Lervang near Ølstrup. To find the cache in Lervang you must collect information from the caches in Ringkøbing and No. The stage is approx. 17 km long, paved most of the way and suitable for a bike ride. Along the way, you can find other fine caches.

Station 2: No
There is not much left of the track between Ringkøbing and No. But from Ringkøbing Station you can cycle to No via Rindumvej, Kærbyvej and Borkvej, a fine cycle route without much traffic. Waypoints C1 to C6 will show you the way.
At WP3, the road crosses the old course of the railway, south of Kærbyvej visible as windbreaks, north of the road as a gravel road. The gravel road is private and ends blindly. The halt in Kærby was probably not far from here.
From WP4 you can see remnants of the old railway embarkment. On this stretch was the old halt at Nobjerg.
At WP5 you stand at the old station building in No. Although the house is far less impressive than the one you looked at in Ringkøbing, you will recognize the style of Ulrik Plesner, with the red bricks, the cut-off roof ends and the white edges. The house is private property - be discreet.
