A cache celebrating the Crumlin Viaduct, upto its closure in 1964 it was the highest railway viaduct in the UK, some 200ft above the valley floor. Sadly the viaduct is now gone, but the trail takes caches hunters from one end to the other to get a sense of its former grandure.
This is a multi stage cache, the coordinates above are the coordinates of the first clue of three.
The cache itself is a 3 litre food box containing pens, pencils, key rings, smelly stuff, sheep, a car, 'King of the Road' TB, and lots more!!
The cache can be completed on foot, but a car could be used to ease some of the strain of getting up and down the hills, though all of the clues will have to be collected on foot. In particular clue 2 involves a climb up a steep slope, with a few steep drops around the place.
Even on foot I see no reason why this cache couldnt be completed in a couple of hours, although attention to detail is required to solve the clues!

I would suggest approaching this cache by way of the steps at N51°40.896, W03°08.173
Excluding the nuts how many hexagons attached to the green rail? Answer = B
How many nuts are on the above? Answer = C
Clue 2) N51°40.795, W03°08.494
This clue is best approached from the narrow road / path running up the hill from N51°40.776, W03°08.409, go through the anti cycling barriers and you will see something that looks like a style on the right! I would advise against approaching the cache from above, as this would probably entail tramping through someones garden .....
Look for a hexagon shape on a green odd legged tripod. SM1 is over A? where ? = D
Clue 3) N51°40.735, W3°08.626
This clue is close to the Bridgend public house, if you want a last reminder of what the viaduct looked like then the pub sign and back gate are worth a look!
