Geocaching.com has decided to do more special souvenirs for the month of August again. This year, it is branded as the 7 Souvenirs of August. In order to obtain the "Nature Lover" souvenir, you need to attend a CITO Event or log a EarthCache. I know that not everyone enjoys Earthcaches, or has found all of the ones that are close to them already. If either of those reasons apply, come on out and join us for a good old fashion CITO Event in Redford.
This event is going to take place at the Claude Allison Park and hopefully we will be able to find some trash to pick up.
This event is going to be from 11:00am - 12:30pm or until we are done.
Later in the day, there is a Pot Luck event nearby at 3:00pm (7 Souvenirs of August-Summer Social Potluck), so stay in the area and cache around until then. That later event will unlock the "Socializer" souvenir for you if you have not been able to attend a regular event cache, mega event cache or giga event cache earlier in the month.
