This one wasn't all that far away, but it was downhill to get to it. That meant having to go back uphill! And there was still so much more "uphill" to be had this day!

On the approach, the switchback almost confused me, but fortunately, I had one of VCTrails trails loaded in my GPSr and could see what to expect (are they great or what!). The little excursion off-trail was gentle. TFTC.

I only realized this was the switchback I was waiting for until after we'd passed it. Backtracked a bit, and then I followed the obvious geo-trail to the obvious end, but that was too far and I missed the cache. After looking around futilely for a few minutes, I retraced my steps and saw the cache just sitting and staring at me. Ah ha! Thanks for the find.

Out with VCT and ODC doing a nice 14.5 mile hike thru this gorgeous area. Thanks for the caches!
