Singapore Challenge Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

erik88l-r: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Time to bump Geocaching in Singapore up a notch! Find 4 Caches to reveal the location of the prize cache.

To find the Singapore Challenge you must find four other caches here in Singapore.

The first two caches, 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' will give you the coordinates of a large rock somewhere in Singapore.

The 'Latitude' cache is located at
N01 25.068' E103 57.765
You must to Pulau Ubin by boat. Rent a bicycle at ride to Noordin Beach. Walk down the beach past the Kedidi Hut. Keep walking until you see a large pile of blue plastic trash bags. Cache is hidden behind a tree in this area. Some leaves and coconuts are coving it. Grab the Elvis TB and log it, if you are the first to find. Look to the pictures for reference.

For the 'Longitude' Cache you must pay respects to the dead
N01 22.658 E103 42.137
This cache is located on the out skirts of the Chinese Cemetery. Find Block 4A-4D (1971-1970) Walk the road around this block. Follow you GPS. Find a tree that has fallen by the side of the road opposite the burial grounds. This cache is not in the burial plot so please respect the dead. Grab the Elvis TB and log it, if you are first to find.

You must find and solve 'Equation' cache using the 'Variable' cache to find the Singapore Challenge Cache from the large rock at ‘Latitude’ and ‘Longitude’.

The ‘Equation’ Cache is located near the shore of the Upper Peirce Reservoir.
N01 22.542 E103 48.624
When in the park go to the shore line and travel towards the NW along the shore. You will come across a path. Follow the path several 10-15 m into the brush where you will find a small opening of shoreline. This is where the coordinates were taken. The tree is about 3m at 45 degrees from this small opening. Look to the pictures for reference.

The ‘Variable’ cache is a virtual cache located:
N01 27.820 E103 50.193
You will need this number to complete the “equation’ and fond the ‘Singapore Challenge’! To find Variable go to the coordinates given. You will be standing in a small field. Directly north is a cluster of trees. Go around to the north side of this cluster. The cache is located about 3-4 ft above the ground hidden in a nook of the trees covered in some leaves.

The ‘Singapore Challenge’ has a Travel bug in it. Log that bug to show you are the first to find and win the Challenge!

Good Luck Singapore cachers! You'll need it because I did not make these cashes the simple hide and seek kind. You'll have to work for most of these caches, but that's what Geocaching is all about.
