The cache is located in Shaughnessy, one of the oldest and most affluent neighbourhoods in Vancouver.
Back in the early 1910's, Shaughnessy Heights were created as a suburb for Vancouver's upper class citizens on the hilly slopes south of False Creek. The mansions of the rich were surrounded by lush lawns, hedges and tree-line boulevards that followed the contours of the local terrain to the Crescent; a circular drive of expensive property located on the crest of the hill overlooking the city.
The cache is hidden inside Shaughnessy Park, a grassy oval formed by the Crescent. The forest-like grove planted in the park represents nearly 50 different plant species. The terrain is flat, and the difficulty rating partially reflects the challenge of not being spotted while retrieving / replacing the cache.
