The shopping center to the south is called The Market Place and was previously called the Sunset Plaza. It offers just about everything under the sun. For the real Old Timers it was previously a small golf course called The Sunset Acres back in the 50's. The Perry Creek Bike/Run/Walk Trail runs a total of 3 miles in length from the Wesley Parkway generally north to the intersection of Stonepark Boulevard and Hamilton Boulevard. Perry Creek is a tributary of the Missouri River in the state of Iowa. It rises in central Plymouth County and flows generally to the south-by-southwest, crossing the Woodbury County line at the city limits of Sioux City, north of Briar Cliff University and the Sioux City Country Club. At about Fifth Street, the creek enters a conduit, which then takes the flow underground to its mouth at the Missouri on the western edge of the downtown riverfront area. Perry Creek courses through residential neighborhoods, and has been plagued by past flooding; it has recently been at the center of a major Federally-funded flood control project.
