THE LISTED COORDINATES ARE FOR PARKING. Because of the neighborhood environment, you must park there and then proceed on foot to the cache. THE CACHE IS LOCATED AT N 30° 14.513 - W 097° 44.532.

TEXAS TRAVEL BUG UNIVERSITY

TTBU is located in Austin, home of The University of Texas - the finest university in the country (in this humble Longhorn's opinion) - so what better place for the newest Travel Bug University? Following in the footsteps of the hallowed Michigan Travel Bug University, Travel Bugs now have an opportunity to get a diploma in either Michigan or Texas (or both!).

Before enrolling in TTBU, all Travel Bugs (and geocachers) must read and follow the rules in the Student Handbook.

TTBU STUDENT HANDBOOK

1. This is a theme cache for trading Travel Bugs, or other types of travelling items (GeoCoins, butterflies, WheresGeorge dollars, Geolutins, etc.) only. There are no other items in the cache for trading, so please don't leave any - although signature items are welcome.

2. All enrolling TB's - and the geocachers that enroll them - must be logged into the roll book, located inside the University. Please try and include any information you have about the TB's goals as well.

3. You may enroll as many TBs as you like, but please try and leave behind at least as many TBs as you take. We here at TTBU like to ensure that enrollment remains full, so every Bug gets the full college experience!

3a. There are no similar requirements for other types of travellers that enroll at the University. These visitors may enter and exit the campus as often as they please.

4. Please replace the cache exactly where you found it. Ensure that the University entrance is closed snug and secure. Administration will also provide ziploc bags where needed for each student inside the campus.

5. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ANY TRAVEL BUGS THAT DO NOT HAVE A DIPLOMA ATTACHED! Each TB must finish its education and receive a TTBU diploma before it is allowed to graduate and leave the University (cache).

It is the best (and pretty much only) place to park.

Come visit us at TTBU, and enroll all your Travel Bugs! We are a public University -- so if your approach appears to require you to enter onto private property, you have not located the correct route. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO WALK THROUGH ANY YARDS TO REACH THE CACHE. Although road travel is possible for much of the journey, the last 300 feet (or so) MUST be reached on foot (and vehicular travel is STRICTLY discouraged). Please follow these directions to ensure that TTBU stays open for many years to come!
