How Geocaching Works
This one's near Picnic Point, about a .5 mile walk from the parking lot (at N 43° 05.04 W 089° 25.72). NO bushwhacking - the 4x4x6" clear plastic container is virtually on the trail; take the "Frautschi Point" path where you see the sign, off the dirt road which starts at the parking lot. PLEASE REHIDE WELL - it's not hard to do so.
I was looking for a place for my first cache, and decided to sort of replace the Picnic Point virtual cache with a real one. I soon realized it would be impolite and going against the placement guidelines to do this, so I found another spot nearby. Paths will take you right up to the cache, although your receiver might not; I lost the signal plenty of times in the area.
